Bruce Wolfe (1941- ).
This native Californian was born in Santa Monica, and began his career by later moving to the San Francisco Bay area. Wolfe moved to attend San Jose State University where he studied art, and later moved on to study art at the Art Institute of San Francisco also in Northern California. There he studied the art of portraiture under Bettina Steinke, as well as sculpting under the guidance of Bruno Lucchesi (Shuptrin Fine Art Group 2009). He has had a long and esteemed career, with awards including a Clio in Illustrative print, Endowment of Arts Federal Achievement Award, First Place at the Art of the Portrait Conference in 2001, as well as many others. Wolfe also produced cover art for Rolling Stone on several occasions.
